A celebrated racing ship and fishing vessel, Bluenose under the command of Angus Walters, became a provincial icon for Nova Scotia and an important Canadian symbol in the 1930s, serving as a working vessel until she was wrecked in 1946.

Each and every one seems to have a life of its own! What makes this glass so sparkly and iridescent is a material called dichroic that is fused into the glass. Dichroic was invented in the mid 1970's by the aerospace industry. The glass is created in a vacuum chamber where a complex process vaporizes metal oxides and crystal quartz to form a film that adheres to the surface of the glass.
